Try
out rafting the Lower Penobscot
River. Explore more tamed rapids of the
lower river while enjoying Mount Katahdin in the
background and area wildlife! You join the other
rafters going for full days trips in 8-man rafts
at the half-way point. The minimum age required
is 10 and the trip is roughly 7 miles long. $50.00-$63.00

Based
out of the Birches
Resort, The East Outlet
Family Trip is a trip that everyone in
the family can enjoy. The minimum age is 5 for
this excursion on basic class 2 and 3 introductory
whitewater on the East Outlet of the Kennebec
River. You'll follow our guides who will teach
you basic rafting skills. Self-guided rafts or
inflatable kayaks are included. Guides in the
boat are optional. Enjoy swimming, surfing or
just plain lounging before you head to Indian
Pond for a picnic lunch. This is one of our most
tame and scenic of our rafting trips. $79.00

you may try out the regular
Kennebec River trip or Dead
River Summer Trips. These trips aren't too
rough for those wanting to experience whitewater
rafting for the first time or at an easier pace. |
